Lancaster John O’Gaunt Rowing Club, Private boat and equipment racking agreement.
Private boat racking terms and conditions, Revised November 2023
Racking is available for the storage of members private boats and blades. This is at Lancaster John O’Gaunt RC's (JOG RCs) discretion and subject to availability and a racking fee.
Storage is entirely at the member's risk, JOG RC will not accept responsibility for the suitability or otherwise of the facilities provided, nor for any damage to any private boat or blades however it may be caused.
Private boats and blades must be insured by the owner and covered as a minimum for third party liability when in storage on and off site and when in use on the river.*
JOG RC will offer off site storage for private boats from October to March including free transport to mitigate the risk of flood damage during winter, racking fees will still apply. Affected members will be able to book and use club boats as usual during this period.
Any private boats or blades lying unused by paid up members of JOG RC may be removed to alternative storage at the club’s expense to make room for active members boats or for the club’s use. Storage fees will still apply.
Any boat stored by a person who ceases to be a paid up member will, after a period of six months, be deemed to have been abandoned and will become the property of JOG RC and will be disposed of as JOG RC sees fit.
