The Lancaster John O’ Gaunt Rowing Club and Lancaster Schools Rowing Association club house has been heavily damaged by the floods following Storm Desmond
Our club house resides in one of the worst affected areas, and due to it's riverside location has been one of worst hit. Flood water's rose to the 1st floor on Saturday 5th December, completely submerging the boat store on the ground floor, destroying most of our fleet and putting the club out of action for the near future.
We are working hard to tidy up and make the building safe again as soon as possible.
Please keep an eye on the Facebook Group, Page and Twitter for updates, along with an informational email that will be sent out soon following a meeting with the other Lancaster based rowing clubs, who have also been badly affected by the floods.
We have received a tremendous amount of support from so many people, other clubs and local organisations offering assistance in getting us back on our feet, and we would like to thank you all sincerely for all of your kindness and generosity.
We have a fund raising page here to help with the costs of restoring our club.
Please contact us by email, Facebook or twitter if you have any questions.
