Full results are now available to view from yesterday’s match between the four clubs that row on the Lune (Lancaster John O’Gaunt Rowing Club, Lancaster Schools’ Rowing Association, Lancaster Royal Grammar School Boat Club and Lancaster University Boat Club).
There were major issues from the start of the day in terms of recording results when we couldn’t find the boat numbers. We then had to improvise at the start and finish meaning that we had three different lists of names in the race (entry – emailed names, start – registration number, and finish – interpretation of what was on the water). There was also an issue with a stopwatch which malfunctioned which meant that some crews have been estimated for their start times.
Hopefully next time will run smoother!
