A community club on the River Lune
Home of the Lancaster Schools’ Rowing Association and the Lancaster Rowing Development Group
Founded in 1842, we’re one of the oldest rowing clubs in the country.
We are based in Skerton, Lancaster.
The club is all volunteers and run by members.
We welcome anyone who is interested in rowing, whether experienced or new to the sport, competitive, recreational, masters or junior, there is a place for you here!


Want to learn to row?
We offer Learn to Row , British Rowing affiliated courses that take you through the basics of rowing. The course is 6 weeks long. You learn to use an erg (rowing machine ) and crew a quad.

Affordable memberships for all
Our memberships start at £17 per month, with members benefiting from all facilities including equipment, rowing machines, gym, training sessions and recreational space.
